Plan B

Blogging has been sparse since the wonderful #blogtober wrapped up and I don’t really like that, so I’m setting myself some writing goals for the next couple of months.

November is half done of course so I’ve been slack as usual but it’s never too late to pull it together. I’ve got plans for #blogmas too, my own take on bloggers fave #vlogmas. I’m torn between doing whatever I fancy in the lead up to Santa’s visit or daily diary entries. I’m veering toward the latter as I haven’t really done it before and it could be a) fun and b) cathartic. We’ll see.

In the meantime, it’s my birthday week this week! I’ll be reaching Level 41 on Sunday and it feels nice actually. This Friday gone I hosted a casual drink in the pub and it was a good turn out. Plenty of glamorous photo ops which is pretty much why I do anything, just to prove I was there and that I’m alive! On Saturday I went for dinner with Matt and then we saw the new Suspiria, which I’m still absolutely in two minds about.

Part of it is wonderful, unique and terrifying – and the other half is a mess, overlong and plodding – and kind of baffling. I’m sure I’ll review it soon but for now I think I need a re-watch (maybe) and some more time for it to marinate. I’m excited about movies coming up and hopefully will get to see The Girl in the Spider’s Web on my actual birthday. Much as I love being spoilt, I am just looking forward to a quiet weekend with my boo this year.

Anyway, this is just a check in post to say, as of today there’s more to come. I’m outlining post ideas as we speak and I’m looking forward to having more of a purpose for the blog. Even though I’m only ever accountable to myself here, I don’t like to let myself down – so watch this space.
